Friction Loc batons are easy to use, highly dependable, and provide the officer with a unique psychological deterrent and an exceptionally versatile tool for controlling an encounter
Baton expands and locks open when you flick it sharply straight up or down; release the lock by striking the tip of the baton sharply downward on a hard surface
Come in three lengths: 16", 21" and 26", with a variety of construction, finish, and grip options
Steel batons are made from 4140 steel tubing specially manufactured for ASP and is 25% stronger than 4130 tubing commonly used for expandable batons
Available with hard, low-reflective, corrosion-resistant Black Chrome finish or Electroless nickel-plated finish, for added corrosion protection and increased visibility in low-light conditions; both are highly resistant to abrasion, scuffs, and scratches
Airweight batons are made primarily from 7075 aluminum, with a steel striking surface, and weigh 45% less than the all-steel models, while retaining 98% of their striking potential; lighter weight allows the baton to move faster, for shorter recovery time between strikes
Foam vinyl grips provide a non-slip grasp, while cushioning the hand from shock
DuraTec® injection-molded grips are bonded to the baton handle and exceptionally durable
Wavemaster grips feature pronounced wave pattern texturing that provides and exceptionally secure hold when hands are wet
All models compatible with all ASP baton caps, accessories and scabbards

SPECS: 4140 carbon steel tubing, hardened to Rc 49-59, with Black Chrome or Electroless nickel-plated finish, or 7075 aluminum tubing. Available in 16", 21" and 26" extended lengths. 16" - 6" retracted length, 16 oz. wt. 21" - 7¾" retracted length, 20 oz. wt. 26" - 9½" retracted length.
