Lightning-Quick Opening EDC Folder With Serious Cutting Ability
Designed by legendary knife maker Ken Steigerwalt, the Benchmade 890 Torrent has a versatile 3.6" long drop-point blade that’s ready to tackle all types of cutting tasks. A simple push on either of the 890’s ambidextrous thumb studs activates the Nitrous assist mechanism that propel the blade into the open position. Twin Titanium torsion bars running the length of the Torrent’s handle engage to push the blade open and lock it after the user has opened it 30°.
Benchmade’s 890 Torrent uses a modified locking liner to prevent that drop-point blade from accidentally closing, but the blade can be easily closed by pushing the liner bar to the side.
